Prospect Park
These photos come from a series that I created over the past two years in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.  During that time I visited the park every day photographed whatever presented itself  Like Central Park, Prospect  was designed by Olmstead and Vaux, and they considered it their masterpiece.  The wooded areas have been called the last forest in brooklyn.  The park covers about 750 acres, and is bordered by several neighborhoods that are widely varied in class and ethnicity; in Prospect Park, these diverse neighbors meet.  I've collected these people in their moments in the park, as well as the things they left behind.
Technical Notes
The images were taken on color film with a medium format camera (Mamiya 6), then scanned and printed.  My special thanks to Diana Edkins for her invaluable help in creating this final arrangement of photos.
